PDO THREAD LIFT

Thread lifts are a relatively new non-surgical facelift option. It’s a facelift without the need for cuts or incisions—just injections.
We’ve been impressed with its effectiveness, and our patients love the results. PDO (polydioxanone) is a synthetic fibre that consists of either a single filament (mono-filament) or two twisted filaments (poli-filament), which dissolve in tissue over time.
Used in medicine for years, PDO stimulates neocollagenesis, promoting the production of collagen—the protein responsible for skin tension and firmness. It also stimulates fibroblasts, leading to the synthesis of elastin, which contributes to skin elasticity. The PDO thread insertion technique utilises natural skin tension lines, producing effects similar to a surgical facelift.
